Oswald West State Park Access #20. Near MP 39.

Oswald West – South #20C.
Main access to Short Sand Beach.

Elk Flats Trail - Devil's Cauldron.
Gravel pullover with views down towards Short Sand and Cape Falcon. This is the trailhead to get to cliffs, Cube Rock viewpoints, Devil's Cauldron. MP40 Elk Flats Trail - Devil's Cauldron

Neahkahnie Overlooks - Viewpoints.
One major pullout and three smaller ones. - Neahkahnie Viewpoints

Neahkanie Mountain (and trails)
Trailheads lie at two spots near pullouts. - Neahkanie Mountain (and trails)

Beach Access #21 Neahkahnie Beach / Manzanita State Park
At the bottom of Neahkahnie Road, closest to headland, the beach quickly becomes large cobblestones until it ends at the base of Neahkahnie Mt. some 200 feet down. - Beach Access #21 Neahkahnie Beach

Manzanita Beach - Beach Access #21A Ocean Road
The most obvious beach accesses lie past its downtown and at the bottom of the main road, Laneda Rd Other small, unnamed accesses lie along here.

Beach Access #22 Treasure Cove Ln.
Numerous hidden ones south of there, between the homes, along the beachside roads. These eventually dead-end at a back entrance to Nehalem Bay State Park.

Beach Access #23 Nehalem Bay State Park. - Beach Access #23 Nehalem Bay

Beach Access #23B Nehalem Bay State Park.
Main entrance to Nehalem Bay State Park within Manzanita. At the north end of Nehalem, this sprawling shoreline of nothing but sand goes on for over two miles. A good two miles down the sand spit you may find spots to watch seals rather closely.

Highway 101 / Nehalem
There’s more cozy Americana in Nehalem, with more of the old saloon-like architecture common on the north coast gracing the town with an elegance and charm. - Nehalem

Nehalem River and Boat Launch
As you leave Nehalem and drive south over the bridge, you’ll notice this tiny park tucked away beneath it and the highwa.

Down the river, the Nehalem runs about 100 miles into the coast range. Fishing is popular along all areas, with the up-stream spots near Highway 26 open to steelhead fishing all year.

Highway 53
Head this way to go to the Nehalem Bay Winery or to Portland. Although twisting, winding and much slower, you can cut a little time off your drive to Manzanita if you take this from the junction on Highway 26. - Highway 53

Wheeler
Cruise up 101, past pastoral glimpses of the bay, the spit and a host of pilings and you'll soon come to the deceptively tiny town of Wheeler. Old saloon-like architecture and chunks of Americana populate this colorful place. In fact, some of these old buildings are decorated quite boldly. - Wheeler

Nehalem Bay
Often, it's overlooked because it's not exactly "the beach," but there's a little bit of paradise lurking in this corner of the coast with a backwoodsy, relaxed and slightly rugged feel. Right in the middle of gorgeous forestland. Rent a kayak to find other absolutely hidden spots within the bay.

From here, the road winds and turns along Nehalem Bay, past mudflats and little communities like Brighton. There's a couple of marinas here with crabbing and other gear / activities. - Nehalem Bay

Entering Rockaway Beach
It’s a long stretch of town that has a rustic, rugged and slightly Victorian vibe in many spots. Beach goes on seven miles.

Beach Access #24 Rockaway Beach: Nedonna Beach
Northernmost access at Rockaway Beach, includes the south jetty. Sundry beach accesses at the ends of some streets. - Beach Access #24 Rockaway Beach: Nedonna Beach

Beach Access #25 Manhattan Beach
Includes a bit more parking.

Lake Lytle
Featuring a dock for fishing or just sitting back and soaking in the moment. Sometimes all sorts of strange float toy objects floating around the southern part of the lake. - Lake Lytle - Southern Rockaway Beach

Beach Access #27 South 1st Street, Rockaway Beach Main Access
The most recognizable landmark on 101 is the main park and access, with the big red caboose catching the eye This now houses the town’s visitor center. The parking lot also features restrooms and a viewing area. During the summer, this beach has a giant volleyball net set up. There are also a myriad of stores nearby. - Beach Access #27 South 1st Street, Rockaway Beach Main Access

Wreck of Emily G Reed
About a block out of this access, it's under sand 99% of the time, but some winters it is uncovered for a short period.

Various Unnamed beach accesses lie here.

Beach Access #27F Twin Rocks
Area includes Shand Ave. and Minnehaha access, which is closest to Twin Rocks. - Beach Access #27F Twin Rocks, includes Shand Ave. and Minnehaha

Southern Rockaway Beach - Southern Rockaway Beach - History: Shipwreck, Weird Stuff

Beach Access #28A North Jetty Tillamook Bay at Barview
Where Rockaway Beach has positively ended. Look for big painted B on cement block above Barview – a kind of low-fi nod to Garibaldi's giant G.
