Rockaway Beach's Main Access - and Hidden Pilings, Winter Storm
Rockaway Beach, Manzanita, Wheeler, Nehalem Bay Virtual Tour, Oregon Coast

In the center of town, the main access is called Ocean's Edge Wayside and features views of Neahkahnie to the far north and glimpses of Twin Rocks to the south.

There are a total of seven miles of pristine sands here.

Often, this wayside boasts a giant volleyball net for public fun. You'll also find restrooms, plenty of parking, a restaurant with a lounge along with the visitors center here.

Also notable here is the occasional appearance of wooden pilings from an old structure that once channeled a stream - as seen above when sand levels get extremely low during winter. See More Beneath Sands of Oregon Coast Town Than Meets the Eye for more on this.
