Friends of Netarts Bay Watershed, Estuary, Beach and Sea (WEBS) will host its annual Winter Wreath-Making Workshop on Sunday, December 7.
Event organizers invite community members and visitors to celebrate the season by crafting their own wreaths, swags, or centerpieces using fresh greens gathered by WEBS staff and a guest presenter. Organizers say that the workshop is a popular tradition and encourage early registration to secure a spot.
This year’s program will feature Phyllis Holmes, a longtime volunteer with the Netarts Community Club. Holmes, who maintains the club’s landscaping and flower beds throughout the year, has led seasonal floral arranging workshops for her garden club and will once again share her expertise with WEBS participants. No prior wreath-making experience is required.

WEBS emphasizes accessibility by offering the workshop free of charge, though contributions are welcome to help offset costs and sustain community programming. A suggested donation of $25 supports ongoing efforts, but organizers stress that participation itself is valued.
Essential supplies, including fresh greens, will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring their own items:

Wire cutters
Gloves
Ornaments, ribbon, bells, and any decorations you would like to include in your project
Metal wreath frames that participants may want to reuse from previous years
Holiday fabric or felt to decorate mason jars for centerpiece arrangements.
Organizers encourage the use of recycled, natural, or biodegradable materials whenever possible. Space is limited, and registration is required. Those unable to attend after registering are asked to notify WEBS so that their spot may be offered to another participant.
More information and registration details are available at https://www.netartsbaywebs.org/events. For questions or cancellations, contact info@netartsbaywebs.org.
