The Newport Seafood & Wine Festival is marking a major milestone in 2027, celebrating its 50th year when it returns February 25 - 28. Tickets are now available for the four-day event, which has grown into one of the Oregon coast’s largest winter draws.

“Four days of Pacific Northwest wine, seafood, live entertainment and regional artisans,” said the Newport Chamber. See the site

This time around, more than 160 vendors from around the Pacific Northwest will take part, offering wine, seafood, regional foods, artisan goods and fun on the stages. The festival routinely brings thousands of visitors to Newport each February, becoming a signature economic boost for local businesses.

It typically ups the population each weekend by 10,000 folks. Having to take the COVID years off, it screamed back to life in recent years.

Executive Director Wayne Patterson said the anniversary underscores the event’s long-standing role in the community.

“This Festival has been part of Newport for 50 years, and that is something worth celebrating,” he said, noting its impact on tourism, local organizations and the city’s winter economy.

The 2027 edition will include returning favorites such as the Seafood Chowder Competition, the Raw-Some Bar and live music throughout the weekend. Daily admission, multi-day passes and VIP packages are available in advance.

Full details and ticket options are posted at the Newport Chamber of Commerce website.

The festival is presented by the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce, which has hosted generations of visitors since the event’s launch in 1977.
