(Newport, Oregon) – One of the older and more established hotels on the Oregon coast somehow remains one of the hippest. Cool, funky and extremely fun are the vibes people often come away with from the Agate Beach Motel. in Newport, which has been with under the same ownership since 1989.

But how are the reviews of this quirky little lodging? They are by and large exceptional, with folks rarely skipping a beat when reviewing Agate Beach Motel. Here's a taste....

Rooms here are done up in vibrant stylings, each with their own look and feel. It's like a trip through time with contemporary gadgets and walls mixed in, along with the creative décor filled with a variety of surf memorabilia and other beachy references.

Prepare to be seriously relaxed. The sounds of the surf never entirely leave you. And if that isn't enough, it's a short walk down their own stairway to the sands of Agate Beach and a quick drive to everything else in Newport.

One of the more recent additions was the cajoling firepit overlooking that stunning beach. They do allow pets.

These days, the Agate Beach Motel hosts one of the coolest webcams on the Oregon coast, pointed to Agate Beach. Sundowns are beyond fab, even if just from the webcam. You'll probably want to hit it in-person, though.

Come to this beach frequently and ALWAYS wanted to stay, so finally did and super glad we did! Reasonable, quiet, close to where we play, and a cute, spacious unit.
