The Kilchis River Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze has officially opened for the season on Oregon’s north coast, welcoming visitors to explore its fall-themed attractions. Families can test their navigation skills in the corn maze, enjoy complimentary hay rides around the flower fields, and select pumpkins, squash, and gourds from the patch. The event runs weekends through October: specifically October 11–12, 18–19, and 25–26, all from noon to 5 p.m.

For those seeking a thrill, the Maze of Murder Haunted Maze Night returns October 24 and 25, operating from dusk (7 p.m.) to 10 p.m. Admission is $12, with half of the proceeds benefiting Titan Outdoors’ “Lil Titans” Youth Hunting Camp. Organizers caution that the experience is designed for ages 13 and up and remind guests that disruptive behavior, including throwing corn, will result in removal.

The patch is located at 9455 Kilchis River Road in Tillamook.

On October 25 and 26 there is the Halloween Coast Train, with Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad (OCSR) getting a little spooky and “off the rails.” It's a one-hour round-trip journey from Rockaway Beach to Garibaldi aboard a historic steam locomotive. The train will be decorated in a lighthearted Halloween style, and passengers of all ages are encouraged to wear costumes.

“Ring in the spooky season with an evening steam train ride along the Oregon Coast,” said OCSR.

Children in costume can trick-or-treat in the Neahkahnie Car and participate in an onboard costume contest. Complimentary apple cider will be served during the ride.

OCSR notes that the train is not wheelchair accessible at Rockaway Beach, and passengers must be able to climb steps to board. Restrooms onboard are also not wheelchair accessible due to the vintage design of the cars. Guests with mobility concerns are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes early for assistance. Pets are permitted only in the outdoor cars.

Also in Tillamook County, there's a spook-tastic Halloween Town in Rockaway Beach, October 25 and 26. It's two days boasting a full slate of family-friendly activities.

Pumpkin and face painting will be offered both days from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. beneath the Depot, inviting children and families to get creative with seasonal designs.

Haunted Walking Tours will depart from the Depot on both evenings, running from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Participants can expect spooky tales along the way.

On Saturday, October 26, the Rockaway Library will host a Spooky Stories session from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., perfect for young readers and Halloween enthusiasts.

Later that afternoon, Anchor Street will come alive with a Trunk or Treat event from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., offering a safe and festive trick-or-treating experience for kids.
