The schedule is here: one of the most adored events of the entire coastline, Circles in the Sand, has released its dates for the year.

Bandon's signature shoreline art experience, Circles in the Sand, returns to Face Rock Wayside this April, bringing its widely loved sand labyrinths back to the south Oregon coast. The event, created to inspire themes of love, joy, and kindness, draws thousands of visitors each year to walk its hand-drawn pathways.

Each “Draw,” as the public walks are known, features a freehand labyrinth surrounded by intricate patterns and illustrations. Designs unfold directly on the beach, forming a single, continuous path with no dead ends. This year's overarching theme is love, with individual draws exploring motifs ranging from ocean life to cosmic imagery and Zen-inspired calm.

Labyrinth construction begins roughly two hours before the scheduled walk time, with the artwork typically ready for visitors at the posted hour. A full walk takes about 20 minutes, and the finished design remains accessible for at least two hours - longer when tides allow.

Face Rock Wayside serves as the event's home beach, though parking is limited and fills quickly. Staff will be stationed at the entrance to manage capacity and prevent overcrowding. A Dedication Circle near the exit invites participants to write names or messages in the sand as part of their experience.

Bandon will also host one of the Oregon coast's most anticipated cycling events this summer when the 2025 Tour de Fronds arrives in June. The annual ride draws cyclists from across the Pacific Northwest for a day of scenic routes, upbeat vibes, wild speeds and challenging terrain.

More details about this year's course options and schedule will be released as the event approaches, but organizers expect strong turnout and a festive atmosphere as riders and spectators gather throughout the charming coastal burgh.

Registration for the event must be completed in advance, with the deadline set for June 1. Activities begin on Friday, June 19, with a BBQ dinner available for an additional charge and rider packet pickup from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

The main event takes place Saturday, June 20, 2026, beginning at 6 a.m. at Powers County Park, 42720 Highway 242 in Powers. Check-in, registration, and a continental breakfast run from 6 to 9:30 a.m., followed by open checkpoints from 7 to 10 a.m. A post-ride meal will be served at Ross Hall between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. The weekend wraps up on Sunday with a pancake feed at Ross Hall from 7:30 to 11 a.m., offered for an additional charge. Fees range from $75 to $90 depending on the selected ride. More information is available at tourdefronds.com.
