(Toledo, Oregon) - It's hard to think of the Oregon coast without oysters - but it's also a little difficult to imagine without good beer. Then there's the whole art scene out along the shoreline, which makes for a particularly creative vibe at times.
Then, there's Toledo. It's the central Oregon coast's answer to the question of “what if you could combine beer, art and oysters?”
Returning August 1 and 2 to the little town outside of Newport is the Art, Oysters & Brews, which has become renowned in its own right.
The Economic Development Alliance of Lincoln County and the City of Toledo will bring back the beloved summer street festival to Toledo’s Historic Main Street. The weekend event runs from noon to 5 p.m. both days.

“This family-friendly weekend event offers something for everyone: explore booths featuring talented local and regional artists, enjoy live music, savor fresh oysters and cold craft brews, and keep the kids entertained in the Kids Zone with fun art activities and more,” said organizers.
The weekend also coincides with the First Weekend Art Celebration at the Yaquina River Museum of Art, and a self-guided mural walk will be available throughout downtown.

Live music will run both days. Saturday’s schedule includes acoustic blues from Paul Schuytema and electric blues from the String Beat with guitarist Sonny Hess. Portland band The Strange Tones will headline the evening with a blend of rockabilly, surf and R&B.
Sunday’s lineup features PNW singer-songwriter Chris Barron and Two Secrets, followed by Wild Hog in the Woods. The Ludicrous Speed Ska Review will close out the festival with a high-energy ska set.
Food and drink options will include regional craft beer and wine, oysters from Timbers Restaurant & Lounge, and meals from Fisherman’s Daughters, Cobblestone Pizza and Cafe 235.

Artists and makers interested in selling work can reserve a 10-by-10 space for $10 per day. Registration is available at BusinessLincolnCounty.com/art-oysters-brews.
Art, Oysters & Brews launched in 2021 as part of the city’s ART Toledo initiative. This year’s event is organized by the Economic Development Alliance of Lincoln County with support from the City of Toledo, Timbers Restaurant & Lounge, the Toledo Chamber of Commerce, Dahl Disposal and community volunteers.
