Until it is. Every once in awhile, the coastline kicks out the jams with the vino. It turns out, it happens once a month on the south coast, at Bandon and Coos Bay.

Oregon wine lovers have even more voluminous opportunities to sip, stroll and shop this November and December, with popular wine walks returning to the coast and a holiday bazaar adding to the pre-season's festivities.

Normally a wine walk, one southern Oregon stroll veers into nog territory.

In Bandon, the city's monthly wine walk takes on a holiday twist with the Alive After Five Art and Nog Walk in Old Town Bandon. Hosted by the Greater Bandon Association, the event invites visitors to stroll through the historic downtown district while enjoying wine, egg nog, food and shopping with local merchants.

The Alive After Five Art and Nog Walk is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 28, 2026, from 3 to 5 p.m. in Old Town Bandon. See https://bandon.com/. Another happens on Dec. 12.

Meanwhile, the Coos Bay Downtown Wine Walk returns Friday, Nov. 6, continuing a tradition that has become one of the community's most successful fundraising events. Organizers stress that no wine expertise is required.

"You don't need to be sophisticated to enjoy the Coos Bay Wine Walk... Just come, have fun, and support a great cause!"

The fun begins at 5 p.m. at the Coos Bay Visitor Center, 50 Central Ave. Participants can make a $10 donation and receive a commemorative wine glass while supplies last, a wristband and a map of participating businesses.

The event is a fundraiser for the Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary Club, with proceeds benefiting a different local nonprofit organization each month.

The Downtown Coos Bay Wine Walk is held on the first Friday of every month from February through December. Starting locations include the Coos Bay Visitor Center and Checkerberry's Flowers & Gifts at Coos Bay Village. The event runs from 5 to 7 p.m.

The Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary Club said it is excited to bring the Wine Walk back downtown for another season.

"We do not offer a wine walk in January and all other events fall on the first Friday of the month," said the club.

According to organizers, the Wine Walk has been extremely popular since July 2007, generating more than $350,000 for local nonprofit organizations. Club officials credit downtown Coos Bay businesses for helping make the event successful as attendance continues to grow each year.

On the north coast, Seaside's annual Fall Wine Walk returns Saturday, Nov. 7, from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Organized by the Seaside Downtown Development Association, their wine walks have been around for almost three decades now, filling wine glasses with unique tastings from Oregon wineries while visitors explore downtown businesses.

For a $20 admission fee, participants receive a commemorative wine glass, ID bracelet and wine walk map. Complimentary appetizers will also be available, and wineries may charge a nominal fee for tastings.

The event, also known as the Whiskey Wobble & Wine Walk, has become one of Seaside's most popular seasonal gatherings, combining local shopping, food and Oregon wines in a festive downtown atmosphere.

Rounding out the month's lineup is the Holiday to Harvest Bazaar, planned for Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, in the Reedsport area.

The following weekend, holiday shopping takes center stage in Winchester Bay with the Holiday to Harvest Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 14. The fundraiser will be held at the Winchester Bay Community Center, 635 Broadway Ave. in Winchester Bay, with proceeds supporting improvements to the community center.

Shoppers can browse a variety of handmade goods, flowers, skin care products, crafts and gift items, offering plenty of inspiration for Thanksgiving gatherings and Christmas gift-giving.
