Yachats Winter Festival Fires Up Holidays in Central Oregon Coast Town

(Yachats, Oregon) - So much festive stuff on the coast – so little time.

The Yachats Winter Festival swings back around to the central Oregon coast town on December 6 - 7, 2025, bringing in gobs of holiday cheer, shopping, and shoreline traditions to the community. Organized by the Yachats Area Chamber of Commerce, the two-day celebration invites residents and visitors to enjoy local artisans, festive treats, and seasonal activities.

The Holiday Vendor Fair will take place at the Yachats Commons, 441 Highway 101, and surrounding areas. Shoppers can browse handmade crafts, art, gifts, and décor from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

On Saturday afternoon, everyone and their dog (literally) can join the Hot Cocoa Trail from 2 to 5 p.m., sampling creative cocoa recipes at participating shops and cafés. Maps will be available at the Commons and local businesses. As evening descends, the town will gather for the Tree Lighting Celebration around 5 p.m., a tradition that marks the official start of the holiday season in Yachats.

Throughout the weekend, visitors can take delve into the holiday DIY of wreath-making workshops, along with family-friendly features. All those hitting this Oregon coast tradition will also receive a coupon for 10 percent off purchases at participating local businesses during December, encouraging holiday shopping close to home.

“The Winter Festival is all about connection - bringing neighbors and visitors together to celebrate the season, shop local, and enjoy the simple magic of Yachats in winter,” says Nichole Lippincott, Executive Director of the Yachats Area Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a special time to slow down, enjoy a warm drink, and take in the beauty of our coastal community.”
