N. Oregon Coast Preview: Cannon Beach Events for 2026 Through Winter 2027

(Cannon Beach, Oregon) - Summer may be winding down to its Labor Day climax but the north Oregon coast town of Cannon Beach has bundles of tricks up its sleeves.

Get ready for lots of music in one of its parks, some more tufted puffin walks and then there's that farmer's market that will feed just about any craving. Then there's fall and winter to contend with, and a brief preview of some major events of the year, like the 2027 Cannon Beach Sandcastle Festival.

Through September 3, Thursdays. Buskers in the Park. A summer concert series bringing rotating musicians to the City Park bandstand, offering early-evening folk, acoustic, and Americana performances. Shows run weather-permitting, and the season features regional artists who turn the park into a laidback but groove-filled community gathering spot.

Through - August 15, select dates. Tufted Puffin Walks. Guided morning walks introduce visitors to the tufted puffins nesting around Haystack Rock, with naturalists helping spot birds and explain their behavior. Participants meet near the beach ramp by the Wayfarer or at the orange flag marking the gathering point for these one-hour wildlife outings.

June 16 - September 8, Tuesdays. Cannon Beach Farmers Market. A weekly summer market filling the Gower and Hemlock parking area with fresh produce, flowers, prepared foods, and locally made goods. Vendors from around the region create a lively midday marketplace that has become a seasonal staple for residents and visitors. Cannon Beach, Oregon. cannonbeach.org

September 11-13. Cannon Beach Cottage Tour. A long-running heritage event offering a look inside historic cottages and notable homes, paired with talks, receptions, and local history presentations. Each year highlights a different neighborhood or architectural theme, giving visitors a rare glimpse into Cannon Beach’s most charming properties. Cannon Beach, Oregon. cannonbeach.org

November Through Spring 2027: Friends of Haystack Rock lectures. There will be loads of these interesting tidbits about the Oregon coast, with announcements on this schedule soon.

Spring Unveiling Arts Festival - May 2027. galleries will welcome some of their most popular artists as guests in the galleries during the weekend or will curate special exhibitions of their latest works.
