(Yachats, Oregon) - The Yachats Area Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for one of the central Oregon coast’s signature spring celebrations as Sip & Stroll returns April 18 - 19. The annual wine-tasting weekend offers up some unique aspects to visitors and locals: you get to explore Yachats through curated pours, coastal ambiance, and community-driven activities.
“This is one of the coast’s most beloved springtime traditions,” said Nichole Lippincott, executive director of the Yachats Area Chamber of Commerce. “We invite all residents and visitors to take part. Secure tickets early, book your stay, and enjoy a weekend of wine tasting, coastal exploration, and community connection.”
The “gem of the Oregon coast” becomes even more glittering during this special celebration, with the finery of the scrumptious blending with that inimitable ocean air.
Sip & Stroll features 11 tasting locations spread throughout the village, each offering selected wines alongside opportunities to browse shops, galleries, and gathering spaces. Check-in takes place at Yachats Commons, 441 Highway 101, where guests can purchase a commemorative glass, event wristband, and an official tasting map.
The Yachats Area Trolley will run throughout the event, providing scenic, hop-on transportation between stops. “It allows attendees to sip, stroll, and ride at a relaxed pace,” Lippincott said.

The weekend also highlights Yachats’ focus on outdoor recreation and stewardship. On Saturday morning, participants can join a Mushroom Treasure Hunt along local trails, searching for handcrafted pieces by regional artisans - soap mushrooms from Billowcloud Soap, crocheted mushrooms from Swallows Nest Homemade, and glass mushrooms by Birdwell Holmes Glass. Clues will be posted on Instagram at @visit.yachats.
“These creations are a gift from Yachats,” Lippincott said. “They reward your effort to get out into nature, breathe, rejuvenate, and embrace the subtle beauty of our coastal home.”

On Sunday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to noon, the chamber will partner with Oregon SOLVE and Dahl Disposal for a community beach cleanup, inviting visitors and residents to help care for the shoreline.
“We encourage everyone to make it a full coastal getaway,” Lippincott said. “Enjoy the wine, explore the village, stay in local lodging, and extend your visit with meaningful outdoor experiences. Come for the wine, stay for the weekend, and wake up the next morning to help care for our beaches.”
