This year's Independence Day frolic is one heck of a landmark one, and it's chock full of celebrations across the Oregon coast. Fireworks to no-fireworks parties abound – but which one to attend?

Here is the absolute complete guide to any Fourth of July celebration out there, even spotlighting little towns with nothing going on, should you care to get away from it all.

Keep in mind, many of the towns have banned the sale or even use of personal firewoks, although that seems to be mostly the upper half of the coastline.

At the top of the Oregon coast, Astoria and Warrenton will host a full slate of Independence Day activities beginning Friday, July 3. That day, there is a free patriotic concert at the Liberty Theatre, where doors open at 6 p.m. and the North Coast Symphonic Band performs at 7. On July 4, the Astoria Riverfront Trolley is expected to run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., while Warrenton fills its downtown with an old-fashioned celebration featuring a car show, BBQ, and an 11 a.m. start, with the parade rolling out at 3 p.m.

The holiday concludes with fireworks over the Columbia River in Astoria at dusk - around 10 p.m. - with pre-show music beginning on local radio at 9:30. Astoria, Oregon and Warrenton, Oregon. Hotels in Astoria - Where to eat - Astoria Maps and Virtual Tours

July 5th Clean up efforts. Each year, volunteers come out as individuals or with a group in each of these communities to help clean up debris along the Warrenton parade route, Astoria riverwalk, Seaside beaches and more.

Seaside’s Fourth of July lineup features an afternoon social, a community parade, and one of the Oregon coast’s largest fireworks shows. The Seaside Museum and the American Legion will host a fundraiser social from noon to 4 p.m. at the museum on Necanicum Drive, followed by the annual parade at 1 p.m., a family favorite that rolls through town rain or shine. The day ends at dusk with Seaside’s traditional fireworks display over the beach, drawing crowds for a 30-minute show that drops the jaw. Seaside, Oregon. Registration is $20 and available online or at the Cannon Beach Chamber, with all participants required to sign a waiver.
