(Lincoln City, Oregon) – April is an especially vibrant time along the Oregon coast, with some of the most spectacular photographic conditions occurring – but then shifting suddenly to another set of conditions entirely. It's a beautiful chaos, meteorologically and photographically. (Above: Kristy's Cottage)

It's also not the most populated time along these shores, either. Hence a lot of hotel specials. While the lack of crowds adds to the attraction factor for many visitors, it means many hoteliers and vacation rentals are offering up the sweet prices.

In the case of Lincoln City's A1 Vacation Rentals, it's 20% off across the board of its roster of homes, making for some eyebrow-raising deals.

Among them:

Beach Front Lodge and Loft is right next to the D River area, so it could be extra colorful at times.

“Big kite viewing in town , sandy beach, surf, and whale watching from this oceanfront home in Lincoln City,” said A1 management.

It is a large one, ideal for groups of up to 16 guests, offering plenty of space, comfort, and entertainment options.

There's several very unique things about Beach Front Lodge and Loft, including the fact it has a gazebo and an extra large grassy yard.

Step inside to discover a home equipped with modern amenities. On the main floor, you'll find a spacious living area featuring a high-definition big screen with cable. There's also a dedicated foosball room for friendly competition. Upstairs, a cozy family room comes complete with a smart TV equipped with Roku for streaming your favorite shows and movies.

Stairs to the Sea is aptly named: it's mere steps to the sands. This beautifully restored historic home offers sweeping views of the sand and surf – along with Adirondack chairs. This 5-bedroom, 2-bathroom home is a temporal trip to the coast with that atmosphere. Inside, you'll find an impressive 15-foot stone gas fireplace, beamed ceilings, and exquisite hand-crafted molding and woodwork. The main room features a large flat-screen TV, a dining area, and a kitchen, and all with breathtaking surf views.

A secluded patio that leads to a fenced yard and a hot tub overlooking the beach. With space to accommodate 4 cars and up to 10 guests (including visitors), "Stairs to the Sea" is even more of a deal during April's discounts.

Also among the great deals this month is Kristy's Cottage in hidden, little Gleneden Beach. There, the beachfront home is far, far from the crowds. It's an upscale home with two queen bedrooms and a variety of ritzy amenities.

It's a special one for stargazing, said A1 owner Karen Scrutton.

“So dark and beautiful at night highlighting stars and sparkly white surf,” she said.

A1 Beach Rentals has more than a dozen vacation rental homes on the central Oregon coast. Check out each home and the availability calendar link to see and compare prices. (503) 232-5984. www.a1beachrentals.com.
