(Lincoln City, Oregon) – As the new year transitions into a not-so-new one, Lincoln City is rolling some new experiences. February sees some novel features being unveiled in the central Oregon coast town, along with some old favorites returning with a different side to them. It's all giving both returning visitors and first-timers plenty of reasons to head for this beachy-keen area for late winter.
Explore Lincoln City’s annual Retro Expo returns Feb. 6 - 16, bringing a citywide spotlight to antiques, vintage finds, and local collectibles. Participating shops - from longtime staples such as Robert’s Bookshop to newer arrivals like Blue Heron Antiques & Stagehorn Vintage - will feature special sales, thrifting events, and the popular antique-style glass float drop. For those visiting outside the Expo dates, the Vintage Voyage digital passport remains available year-round.
Culinary additions are also taking center stage. Squatchsami Outpost, the first brick-and-mortar location for the well-known local food-truck brand, is now open and serving coastal comfort staples including clam chowder, halibut and chips, and toasted sandwiches. February also brings the Winter Waters dining series, highlighting farmed seaweeds, shellfish, and sustainably harvested Oregon fin fish. SeaHorsey Bottle Shop will host an event on Feb. 15, followed by Squatchsami on Feb. 16.

Lincoln City continues to expand its accessibility efforts following last year’s Oregon Statewide Accessibility Certification. A key example is the new Schooner Creek Discovery Park, where an inclusive, fully accessible playground invites visitors of all ages and abilities to climb, slide, and explore sensory features on smooth, barrier-free surfaces.
The Cascade Head Biosphere Region marks its 50th anniversary this year with a months-long schedule of activities rather than a single celebration day. Upcoming events include a Natural Arts & Science speaker series on Feb. 19 and a Gyotaku Master Class in March. The 102,110-acre UNESCO site offers year-round opportunities for hiking, paddling, and wildlife observation. The Biosphere Beach Ambassador program will also return in late spring for a second season.
Several local traditions are entering new eras as well. After celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2025, the Finders Keepers glass float program is sharpening its focus on the spirit of discovery - encouraging visitors to slow down, wander, and reconnect with the simple joy of finding art along the shoreline.

An amazing dog?friendly stay. We stayed here for two days with our dog and it was a truly exceptional experience. When they say they are dog friendly, they mean it. Alex was very helpful and friendly. Six stars.
