(Lincoln City, Oregon) – Great oceanfront views in a busy locale like Lincoln City don't come cheap. Luckily, there are seasonal lows along the Oregon coast right now, with some in December and January really charging way under normal price to coax the wave watchers in. That can yield some eye-popping numbers. (Above: view from Pacific Escape).

Then there are the seasonal real, real lows: some hoteliers are pulling out all the stops on those price drops. Even vacation rentals can offer up some incredible deals. And the award for that goes to....

A1 Beach Rentals in Lincoln City did just that recently, with most homes going for $199 - $225 per night (although cleaning fees and some taxes are added on, as per law). For rentals, it's likely the most inexpensive in the central coast town.

Many of them still have availability over the Christmas holiday and the coveted New Years Eve weekend – plus many have plenty of openings in January, including the next installment of king tides.

Here's just a few:

In generally well-known Lincoln City, there aren't many beach spots where the people are few and far between. Unless you have a vacation rental that overlooks such a place.

Pacific Escape is situated right above an isolated section, a stretch of the central Oregon coast town where there aren't any beach accesses for awhile – and thus few, if any, souls. Three bedrooms, three baths and a place to fit eight people: this one is an outstanding gem on the edge of the continent.

Enormous panoramic views are the focus at this grand and lovely structure. Much of the home, including kitchen and bedrooms, gazes out onto the vast ocean. A sprawling deck is filled with Adirondack chairs and all that ocean, as well as a Jacuzzi. For even more of a scenic punch, there's a few steps leading down to a small yard that lets you gaze over the edges of the cliff. The living room is filled with this same view, as is the dining room and upstairs bedrooms. The latter is one of the more incredible views as you're up quite high.

Pacific Escape is useful for a romantic two-person getaway or a full-fledged family jaunt. An open floor plan gives way to all those sights, and the dining table hosts eight folks. There's also a flat screen TV, one room that gazes out into a forest, a picnic table and a gas fireplace. Pacific Escape

Seamist is a striking beauty even at first glance with its interesting, slightly complex exterior shape, all clearly overlooking this wondrous beach area below the NW 15th St. ramp. Yet step inside and the grandness of the place becomes really evident. The home sleeps six and is perfect for families with children.

You can even see the rocky tidepool area from one of the bedrooms, making for outstanding views all over Seamist. Parts of the house have floor to ceiling windows that let in not only all the sun but the sights and sounds of the ocean too.

A major centerpiece is the stone and agate arched fireplace, which ups the ante on atmosphere. Winter storms are pure ragers from here, and these now come at a great discount this season.

Among the other amenities here are two bedrooms with a third sleeping room that comes with a hideabed. A large kitchen comes fully loaded, including a crock pot and coffee maker. Seamist

It sounds like a James Bond film, but it's actually an exceptionally lovely locale at the end of Lincoln City – Roads End, to be exact. Moonbreaker is an oceanfront Cape Cod-style beauty with its own private stairs to the ocean. It sleeps four and includes a large deck and a jetted tub. The place also has a mesmerizing historic vibe.
