Secrets of the Season

Oregon Coast Events: Pacific City, Tillamook, Manzanita, Rockaway

Manzanita

(Manzanita, Oregon) – It's a summer full of fun in Tillamook County, with Pacific City, Rockaway Beach, Manzanita, Nehalem, Tillamook and Oceanside hopping like crazy – beginning with spring.

May brings some serious train action to the area, with the Oregon Coast Steam Train making regular runs between Garibaldi and Rockaway, starting on the 24th and going through September. There’s also a special train run this month.

Farmers Markets take over towns like Manzanita and Tillamook on the weekends. There are car shows, theater presentations, concerts, and plenty of Fourth of July celebrations – including some on the fifth of July in certain towns, thus elongating your Independence Day pleasure. Rockaway hosts a massive jazz, wine and cheese festival, Nehalem Bay Winery shows off various events, and then of course there are the ton of fun stuff to do in nature and the holidays of Memorial Day and Labor Day.
