Oregon Coast Travel Tips: Hotels, Motels of Cannon Beach
(Cannon Beach, Oregon) - The north Oregon coast resort
that is Cannon Beach is bulging with shimmering, upscale motels and hotels
of renown, places unforgettable for a variety of reasons. Some are right
on the ocean, providing consistently wowing views of the Oregon coast’s
often wild surf – or, as frequently happens in summer, that unusually
pristine and placid blue that makes it look drinkable.
The hotels and motels of Cannon Beach – and the hotels
and motels of towns nearby – reflect that atmospheric vibe, with
intoxicating architecture and style.
The
Ocean Lodge. The magic of this hotel is its most rare, premiere
location: its handsome, dramatic architecture and its tasteful, fun, even
nostalgic, beach interiors. There will not be another property built like
this in Cannon Beach in our lifetimes. With a location overlooking famed
Haystack Rock, this site deserved something very special. This dramatic
beauty is 100 percent smoke free, with some very imaginative special occasion
packages. Look for massive, river-rock fireplace burning real wood in
the lobby. Library with fireplace stocked with impressive collection of
coffee table books, leather bound classics, contemporary literature, and
imaginative children’s books and games. They are enthusiastically
pet and family friendly. Complimentary wi-fi; extravagant continental
buffet breakfast. In-room fireplaces, mini-kitchens. Jacuzzi tubs in select
rooms. Cable television and DVD players with complimentary movies. Morning
paper delivered to your door. Warm home-baked cookies. 888-777-4047. 503-436-2241.

Inn
at Cannon Beach. This lovely hotel stands on a wooded property
at the quiet southern end of Cannon Beach, taking full advantage of the
beauty of its natural setting. Warm natural wood exteriors and handsome
cottage-style architecture highlight the building, surrounded by lush
flowering gardens and naturalized central courtyard pond. It’s a
little like a high-end summer camp for adults and families, and just a
short block to the beach. The guest room interiors are warm and inviting.
The Inn at Cannon Beach is a lovely place during winter storms that lash
the beach, but even better when the sun’s out for family fun and
beach strolling. Indulge in the continental buffet breakfast each morning,
warm cookies in the lobby – and it’s family and pet friendly,
with welcome gifts in every room. The Inn at Cannon Beach is 100 percent
100 percent smoke-free, there’s a newspaper delivered to your door
and complimentary wireless connectivity. Plus, there are regular wine
tastings and periodic events such as book signings. 800-321-6304 or 503-436-9085
