(Lincoln City, Oregon) - The Greg Ernst Trio will be churning out the good times with a "A Night of Jazz," on Friday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m., in the Lincoln City Cultural Center. The group will perform on the main floor of the auditorium, surrounded by an audience seated at tables.
"We like to be in the middle of the scene, with room for folks to move around and dance if they like,” Ernst said.
Ernst is an attorney on the central Oregon coast and a popular musician in the area. He has a Bachelors Degree in music and has held teaching positions in Evergreen State College and the University of Washington. His groups have performed throughout Oregon and along the coast, especially in Newport and Lincoln City.
"The trio consists of truly talented professional," a South Beach fan said. "It's an easy listening and ' danceable' sound."
Bassist/Pianist Beau Brian studied music at Portland State and Mount Hood. He has worked with recent Grammy Award winner Esperanza Spalding and the group Black Science Tribe, along with many others.
Drummer Bob Walke, owner of Surfs Up Music in Lincoln City, was a fixture on the Portland music scene for 30 years before his move to the coast.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in the information center at 540 NE Highway 101 or call 541 994-9994 to reserve. Tickets can also be purchased at the door. The Cultural Center includes a no host Beer and Wine Bar. Lincoln City, Oregon.
