(Manzanita, Oregon) - Winter is here, if not technically then at least in spirit. And that means the holidays and numerous other ways to go bonkers along Oregon's coast when there’s less light out.
North coast towns like Seaside, Cannon Beach, Manzanita, Wheeler, Rockaway Beach and Tillamook will be hopping for the season – whatever the weather.

This musical tells the story of Georg and Amalia, two feuding clerks in a European parfumerie who secretly find solace in their anonymous romantic pen pals, little knowing their respective correspondents are none other than each other. Manzanita’s Wacko New Year’s Eve Midnight Parade. A little known secret about Manzanita’s New Year’s celebrations is its New Year Parade at midnight, which has been a surreal little local tradition that’s been happening for at least a few years. Generally, people just stagger out of the local bars and perform an oddball parade of sorts – proof again of the kooky and creative side to the fun-loving locals. In recent years, the city grudgingly gave its okay for the parade, partially on the basis it would happen with or without the permit.
