(Oregon Coast) – The holiday makes things a little funky this year, as it falls in the middle of two weekends, leaving lodgings on the Oregon coast packed to the gills on three different times in one week.
There are still some openings for those who hadn’t made Fourth of July reservations on the coast yet, but they’re few and far between. Plus, the weekend of July 6 promises to also turn the Oregon coast into tourist’s Mecca, and that weekend is also completely booked up in most hotels, motels and vacation rentals. Oregon Coast Beach Connection has contacted some 300 lodgings and found this bundle still with openings. But they’re going to go quickly, as most lodging businesses are saying they’re getting a flurry of calls about recommendations on where to stay or referrals, since they have no room at their inn

Because the holiday falls right before another busy weekend, Oregon Coast Beach Connection is bundling the two lodging update reports together. The Fourth of July weekend happens on a Wednesday, and Wednesdays are our deadline for lodgings to get hold of us regarding openings. So it could assumed many wouldn’t be able to do that on the usual Wednesday for a variety of business reasons.
