Winery Announces Winter Events
(Dundee,
Oregon) – Oregon’s Sokol Blosser Winery is known
for its varied and innovative events – as much as it’s
known for its fine, inventive and exquisite wines. The sprawling
vineyard in the coast range and tasting room - on the way
to the Oregon coast - has just released its schedule of winter
and spring celebration, filled with food and wine pairings
and celebrations that are guaranteed to please the palate.
Saturday,
January 21: Pinot Gris and Seafood Event
Bay seafood is on tap in the Sokol Blosser in the tasting
room, happening between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Seafood appetizers
are prepared by Chef Mark of Hayden’s Grill in Tualatin.
The tasting fee is $8, which includes appetizers and a Vertical
tasting of our Pinot Gris.
February 11-17: The Week of Indulgence
The entire week in mid-February brings a taste of Dagoba’s
delicious organic chocolates, paired with Sokol Blosser’s
Pinot Noir. For those of you who want to celebrate Valentine’s
Day a little early, February 11 features sample some staff-made
chocolate nibbles, as well as a chocolate fountain between
12 and 3 p.m.
Saturday,
April 22: Earth Day
Need some inspiration on your garden this spring? Red Ridge
Farms will show up at the winery to talk about tips on gardening,
and of course, they will have some excellent spring plants
available for purchase. Who says you can’t have a glass
of wine and garden at the same time?
Saturday-
Monday, May 27 - 29: Memorial Weekend Open House
The annual celebration of vineyards and vino all over Oregon
always takes on an extravagant presence at Sokol Blosser.
Marketing director Alison Spoljaric said the frivolity happens
under the big tent for a tasting of their latest release while
enjoying the culinary flavors of Papa Haydn’s from Portland.
Lively live music is provided by the Bobby Torres Ensemble.
Lunch is an additional fee. Tasting fee applies.
Sokol
Blosser is at 5000 Sokol Blosser Lane, Dundee –
along Highway 18. (800) 582-6668.
