Oregon Coast Calendar: Yachats Spring Events Into Summer
(Yachats, Oregon) – Near the very middle spot along Oregon's 362 miles of beaches, Yachats sits almost directly between Newport and Florence. Its rocky shoreline creates a constant stream of wave drama, and the tiny town is big on fun, even unusual things to do.
Events scattered throughout the spring and summer months run the gamut from food fests, movies, music to nature to-do’s. Jazz, classical and various forms of regional rock and blues are big here, as is wine tasting, quaint little ice cream or fish events, and of course Fourth of July happenings.

Every First Thursday of the Month – Yachats Big Band, at the Yachats Commons. Couples, families and singles are invited to dance to the Big Band Classics of Glen Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and others. July 4. Yachats La de da Parade. Festivities and fireworks show. Fun-filled la de da Parade on July 4 at noon. Great food and music all afternoon about town. Spectacular Fireworks at Sundown over the Yachats Bay. Yachats, Oregon.

July 4. Fourth Annual Duck for Kids Race. 1,200 Rubber Duckies will be dropped from the Yachats River Bridge, just south of downtown Yachats to race down the river. Watch from the beach below the bridge at Yachats Ocean Road State Park. You may sponsor a duck for $5 or 3 ducks for $10. The first ducks across the finish line will win fantastic prizes. 2:30 p.m. Buy your chance to win at the Yachats Visitors Center. Yachats State Scenic Area at the Yachats River Bridge. July 10-12. Yachats Music Festival. Three-day music festival includes cameo performances by 20 to 30 major classical artists.
