Just south of midtown, the street begins to rise and curve suddenly, with Haystack Rock looming ever more closely. Drive far enough and you may spot this cute little courtesy: a stairway access close to Haystack. While this is gleefully convenient for those who don't want to walk far (or who can't) to see the monolith, parking is not easy here. Be cautious when parking near this and don't piss off the neighbors.

The second shot is the legendary landmark in a haunting view at night, with star trails overhead.

This access is found just beneath Viewpoint Terrace.

The access does not appear to have an official name, and it may have an emergency beach access number (those yellow signs) - although that is not certain at this time. It may be labeled Access #15A.
