Coast Aquarium Holds School Benefit
(Newport, Oregon) –
Newport’s Oregon Coast Aquarium will hold a benefit for Siletz
and Newport schools on March 16, asking the public to “Stuff-a-Bus.”
Because many families
in Lincoln County can’t afford the basic tools for their children’s
education, the Aquarium is accepting donations on this day in the
form of school supplies or cash. KYTE-FM will do a live remote from
the Aquarium for the event, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 5
p.m.
The public can help by
picking up donation bags at local churches, community organizations
or at KYTE-FM, 906 SW Alder Street in Newport. The bags will be
filled with any of the items on the needed items, listed below,
and then brought to the Aquarium on March 16.
The Aquarium
has a bus onhand that will be crammed with the donated goodies.
