Beginning of 804 Trail: Gateway to Yachats Basalt Beaches
The end or the beginning of the trail?
It's here where the 804 Trail ends, having begun a little less than a mile away at Smelt Sands State Park. At this spot, it's the dividing line between the two different types of beaches, with encrusted huge boulders and odd basalt shapes meandering in dozens of different directions at once.
It is, as is obvious here, part of the Oregon Coast Trail System.
This is the paved descent to the beach from the end of the 804 Trail, which meanders a bit behind a home before it spills out onto this hidden, completely secretive wonder.
