Strange Night Scene, Nye Beach

A strange night scene in Nye Beach, where the lights of the area paint the beach in a surreal manner. Stars twinkle above, melding with the distant lanterns of ships way off. It's as if you're looking at another, parallel universe with its own version of Nye Beach.

This shot was taken from the Jump-Off Joe structure, some some 60 - 70 feet above the surf. Below, on the cliff-lined beach, are numerous little dark nooks and crannies - which, well, let's face it, make great make-out spots for the romancer on the beach.

After all, Nye Beach was once known as the "Honeymoon Capital of the World." A leisurely nocturnal walk on this strand provides plenty of evidence as to why.
