Miles and miles of sand surround you here. To the south, about a mile, is Nye Beach. To the north, it’s yet another mile to the southern side of Yaquina Head and the big surfer spot.

This is the entrance to Agate Beach, with its mushy dunes and long expanse of sand on either side.
