Devil's Churn from Above: Erosion and Big Waves
The Devil's Churn is a giant crevice in the basalt, eroded away by eons of sea actions. Now, that same sea becomes rather spectacular during stormier moments, compressing the wave action into an enormous bundle of energy and wild watery behavior. It often tosses things around, like enormous logs, hurdling them onto the rocky ledges. Consequently, at the waters edge is not a place you want to be during these times.
