Oregon Coast Restaurants Open for Thanksgiving
This list is not all-inclusive, and covers Astoria down to Yachats (nearly the entire upper half of the coast). Not everyone reported back when BeachConnection.net sent out word of this list. There are likely more than listed here. Still, it proves most towns along the coast have quite a bit going on for the holiday. For Oregon coast lodging availability this holiday weekend, click here. Astoria These area restaurants will be open, with either their regular menu or a special traditional feast: Baked Alaska, Bridgewater Bistro, Clemente's Seafood, Drina Daisy, Pig' N Pancake, Rogue Ales Public House, Shelburne Inn Restaurant, The Schooner, The Depot and Tide Point. At Worker's Bar and Grill, bring a toy for a needy child and have dinner for free.
Seaside Best Western Salvatore’s Café (414 N Prom, 503-738-3334). 7-11a.m. Regular breakfast served. From 11a.m. – 3 p.m. a buffet is served. A limited dinner is served from 3 – 9 p.m. Call for reservations. Creekside Restaurant and Lounge (2490 HWY 101 N, 503-738-7763). Thanksgiving Day they will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Regular menu will be available as well as a special Thanksgiving menu. Oven roasted turkey, prime rib, fresh seafood, honey baked ham and all the trimmings. Open 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. Special menu starts at noon. Shilo Restaurant. (30 North Prom. 503-738-8481). Buffet from 12 noon to 7 p.m. Adults $25.90; seniors: $22.90, and children 5-10 years of age are $12.90.
McKeowns Restaurant. 1 North Holladay (corner of No. Holladay & Broadway). 503-738-5232. There will be five seatings: noon; 1:45; 3:30; 5:15 and 7 p.m. Adults: $20.99; Seniors: $18.99, Children: 8-12 yrs $10.99, 4 - 7 yrs $5.99, 3 and under $2.99. The Human Bean of Seaside (1545 N Roosevelt) will be open on Thanksgiving from 5:45 to 2 p.m. for those requiring a stiff coffee boost. In Gearhart, McMenamins Sand Trap (1157 N. Marion Way Gearhart, 503-717-8150). Open Thanksgiving Day from 11a.m. to 7 p.m. Special thanksgiving meal for adults and children; regular menu also available. Reservations encouraged.
Cannon Beach Most restaurants in town appear to be open for the hungry coastal throngs. Cannon Beach Thai Cuisine, 503-436-0261. Cranky Sue’s is open from noon to 4 p.m. for a special Thanksgiving menu; 503-436-0301. EVOO – Cannon Beach Cooking School, 503-436-8555. Gower Street Bistro, 503-436-2729. JPS at Cannon Beach is open from 2 - 8 p.m.; 503-436-0908. Lumberyard Rotisserie & Grill is open from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.; 503-436-0285. Morris’ Fireside, 503-436-2917. Pig N’ Pancake is open until 3 p.m. 503-436-2851. Wayfarer Restaurant and Lounge, 503-436-1108.
Lincoln City The restaurant at Salishan is serving complete dinners of turkey, duck and ham. Just south of Lincoln City in Gleneden Beach. 541-764-2371. Sambo’s Restaurant. Fathoms at Inn Spanish Head will feature a buffet from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. 541-994-1601. Depoe Bay Gracie’s Sea Hag will be open for turkey day. Newport Not all restaurants had reported in, but a sampling of those known to be open in Newport include the Starfish Grill (the Best Western Agate Beach Inn), Shilo Ocean Front Resort, Rogue Ales House (after 4 p.m.), Georgie’s Beachside Grill and The Embarcadero.
Yachats The Landmark will be open until 2 p.m. for breakfast: great view, Italian specials, fresh crab cakes and terrific oysters and eggs. Later at night, in the bar it’s business as usual with live music. Hwy 101, Yachats. (541) 547-5459. www.landmark-yachats.com. Yachats River House has a special menu that includes choices of dishes like spiced lamb pie, stuff sirloin (with figs and mushrooms), roast tom turkey and duck confit, among others. Seatings from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
