| Cannon Beach will be a popular destination this weekend |
(Oregon Coast) - The big holiday is upon us and that means big crowds on the Oregon coast. That, in turn, means few hotel rooms.
Many lodgings on the coast are still reporting openings, but that’s expected to close up fast as it does every year, as walk-ins or last minute reservations flood their check-in counters.
BeachConnection.net heard back from some 80 lodgings that were reporting openings, out of about 400 contacted. Most of those reported a fair amount of availability on Friday, with little or no openings on Saturday. Some reported plenty on Sunday, while others none or very little.
All lodgings advise to reserve ahead of time and do not just come to the coast and hope to find a room. As always, call ahead of time and make sure these openings are still there.
This list features Seaside, Cannon Beach, Arch Cape, Nehalem, Manzanita, Rockaway, Oceanside, Pacific City, Lincoln City, Depoe Bay, Newport, Waldport and Yachats.
